Outpod is a program to do bulk exports of contact and calendar information from Microsoft Outlook to files according to the vCard and vCalendar standard.

In generalOutlook supports the vCard and vCalendar format. Unfortunately a function to store more than one contact at a time as a vCard is missing from Outlook. This is the same for appointments. This tool allows you to export multiple contacts/calender events into one vcard file.

Installation
Installation is very easy. Just download the version you want, and unzip the file to a directory on your PC. The name of the executable is Outpod.exe.

Start
On startup Outpod connects to Outlook and reads the top-level folder information. Every time you expand a node in the folder-tree the subfolders are read from Outlook. When you select a folder, that contains contacts or appointments, the information is displayed in the list view on the right side of the screen.

Export data
To export the informations from Outlook, you first need to select the items you want to be saved. If you want to store the items in one single file, select the menu item Outpod->Save selected items to single file. In this case Outpod asks you for the name and location of the file. If you select the menu item Outpod->Save selected items, Outpod asks you for the location of the target directory and creates one file per item in this directory.

Calendar information
With Apples iCal you can organize your appointments in different calenders and export or publish them separately. The iPod supports this as well. Every calender is displayed on an iPod as an entry in the menu Extras->Calendars. Outpod supports this in a very sophisticated manner. Outpods behaviour is set using the options dialog. You can see this dialog by selecting Extras->Options.

If you activate the checkmark Save calendar info, calendar information is stored with the appointments. If this is deactivated Outpod behaves like version 0.3. You can choose between using the calendar names or the categories to specify the iPod-calendar of your appointments. If you choose Use category info and activate One appointment for every category, then every appointment that belongs to more than one category is stored once for every category it belongs to. E.g. you have an appointment that belongs to the categories Personal and Car, the target file will contain two copies of this appointment. One with calendar set to Personal, the other with calendar set to Car.

In case of errors
If you encounter an error or a problem during your work with Outpod, please restart Outpod with the commandline option -debug. Reproduce all your steps to get the error. Then look in the Outpod directory for the file Outpod.csl. Send this file to outpod@stoer.de.

Microsoft Source Code Analyzer for SQL Injection is a static code analysis tool for finding SQL Injection vulnerabilities in ASP code. Customers can run the tool on their ASP source code to help identify code paths that are vulnerable to SQL Injection attacks.
Overview
In response to the recent mass SQL injection attacks, Microsoft has developed a new static code analysis tool for finding SQL Injection vulnerabilities in ASP code. Web developers can run the tool on their ASP source code to identify the root cause of the attack and address them to reduce their exposure to future attacks. The tool will scan ASP source code and generate warnings related to first order and second order SQL Injection vulnerabilities. The tool also provides annotation support that can be used to improve the analysis of the code.

The Windows NT and Windows 2000 Resource Kits come with a number of command-line tools that help you administer your Windows NT/2K systems. Over time, I’ve grown a collection of similar tools, including some not included in the Resource Kits. What sets these tools apart is that they all allow you to manage remote systems as well as the local one. The first tool in the suite was PsList, a tool that lets you view detailed information about processes, and the suite is continually growing. The “Ps” prefix in PsList relates to the fact that the standard UNIX process listing command-line tool is named “ps”, so I’ve adopted this prefix for all the tools in order to tie them together into a suite of tools named PsTools.

Note: some anti-virus scanners report that one or more of the tools are infected with a “remote admin” virus. None of the PsTools contain viruses, but they have been used by viruses, which is why they trigger virus notifications.

The tools included in the PsTools suite, which are downloadable as a package, are:

  • PsExec - execute processes remotely
  • PsFile - shows files opened remotely
  • PsGetSid - display the SID of a computer or a user
  • PsInfo - list information about a system
  • PsKill - kill processes by name or process ID
  • PsList - list detailed information about processes
  • PsLoggedOn - see who’s logged on locally and via resource sharing (full source is included)
  • PsLogList - dump event log records
  • PsPasswd - changes account passwords
  • PsService - view and control services
  • PsShutdown - shuts down and optionally reboots a computer
  • PsSuspend - suspends processes
  • PsUptime - shows you how long a system has been running since its last reboot (PsUptime’s functionality has been incorporated into PsInfo)

All of the utilities in the PsTools suite work on Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. The PsTools download package includes an HTML help file with complete usage information for all the tools.

Ever have a file that was either corrupted or had a permissions issue, to the point that you could not remove it via explorer or even dropping into the command prompt? I know I have…. however I found a nice little tool called, Unlocker.

Unlocker bypasses all the issues assoicated with this and removes the file for you. You can get this by going to http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/.

I also have a copy of this on the site as well - Download Unlocker 0.8.7
