At the recent Quakecon, ID and John Carmack (widely considered to be the God of gaming engines) showcased their newest game engine technology, titled “Tech5″. This engine looks to be a direct competitior to Epic’s UE3 (Unreal Engine 3) technology and looks to be impressive in every manner.
