This article explains how you can setup a new user in a WHM / cPanel server.

1. Log into your cPanel domain by going to either Https://your_ipaddress:2083 or Http://your_ipadress:2082.

   
    

2. Once logged in navigate to the cPanel “Files” section. In there will be an option to access the “FTP Accounts”, click this to proceed.

   
    

3. You will now be able to setup a new FTP account by providing a username, password and a directory. It is highly recommended that you either setup a strong password that consists of alpha-numeric characters and at least 10 characters long. If you do not have one you can let the password generator create one for you. Once you are done click the button “Create FTP account”.

   
    

4. After doing this your account will be created and ready to be used.
